    The pilots were lucky, that the tailhook did not latch in!

    Russian planes are great - except the newest ones, where they are trying to have this steath s h i t, like the US ones.

    if you watch closely it scratched one maybe two ropes. If i\m right hook is designed to work on certain angles only so id did not latch in as it had like 90 degree angle with the deck..
